The Cyber Café at the IIIC continues to be a go-to resource for J-1 summer students still looking for housing and jobs. Two new arrivals to Boston, Aisling Crosbie and Clodagh Keegan, came into the Café for the first time at the end of June.
“It’s a good place to meet new people and the job lists are handy,” Clodagh says, thumbing through job resource books at the table with her cousin Aisling. Before coming to Boston, the two girls spent several weeks in Florida, but after little success finding jobs, they opted to move up north. They have friends and family here—and it was a friend who first brought them to the Cyber Café to aid them in their job search.

Serving over one hundred J-1s so far this summer, the Cyber Café’s access to job and housing resources, computer and internet use, and printing privileges can prove invaluable for students needing assistance in their transition to Boston.
