2013 WH Clanrye March in IrelandOn March 23rd, the first group of Wider Horizons participants arrive in Boston. IIIC Director of
Learning Exchange Programs Ann-Marie Byrne traveled to Newry recently to meet the group during their pre-departure training. “They are very excited about their upcoming trip to Boston and are keen to start their work placements in local non-profit community organizations,” reports Byrne. “They are also eager to meet their new host families who they will live with during their 6 weeks in Boston.”

The Wider Horizons Program fosters mutual understanding between protestant and catholic young adults (ages 18-28) from Ireland, north and south. The incoming group are coming through the organization Clanrye Group based in Newry and participants hail from counties Down, Louth and surrounding areas.
