“Without a sense of caring, there can be no sense of community.” – Anthony J. D’Angelo
There is no coincidence that there is an abundance of Irish-born immigrants, living in Massachusetts, working in caring roles. Nurses, Doctors, Home Health Aides, PCAs, CNAs, Nannies…the list goes on. The Irish are known for and are very proud of our caring ways, warmth and humor. Let’s face it, we are great to have around when we need a caring hand to help us do what others take for granted. We at the IIIC are very proud of the many wonderful women and men who care for others either in their profession or with their own families caring for less able members.
However, caring is stressful, hard work and much is expected with little time to do it in. If you live with a lot of stress in your life, it builds up to the point where we can exhaust ourselves. If we pour all of ourselves into another person or a series of tasks, there may be nothing left for us! We here in Wellness want to ensure that the wonderful carers in our community also know the value of being cared for. We invite all our carers to join us on Sunday, March 24th from 4.30pm for a Gentle Yoga, Meditation and Reiki 90-minute session – Just for you! Mary O’Toole has been offering many wonderful holistic services in Dorchester for a number of years now and wants to show you how easy it is to set aside time for yourself. So come recharge your batteries and ensure that you don’t forget how to care for yourself!
Call Ann Marie Cugno today to book your place at 617-542-7654 ext.32. Cost is ONLY $20 for 90 minutes of bliss. Please join us!
