The Wider Horizons Program is an innovative international internship program. The program helps to foster mutual understanding and reconciliation between young adults (18-28) from Protestant and Catholic communities in Northern Ireland and Ireland. The program improves participants’ employability by providing them with essential skills and practical work experience through six-week supervised internships in Boston, while also aiding in their social and personal development.

Our current partner organizations in Northern Ireland:

Tyrone Donegal Partnership

Clanrye Wider Horizons Group

Wider Horizons participants stay with host families while they are in Boston. This contributes to their overall experience and gives them the chance to learn about local customs, culture, diversity and family life.

For more information or to apply to become a host family, please click on the Host Family Information and Application Form at the top of this page.

The Wider Horizons Program is funded by the International Fund of Ireland.
